Living in West London in 2003, under the Heathrow flight path, meant that I got to see airplanes flying over head all day every day. I recall counting one plane every two minutes.
I took to photographing them, as they had become such a pervasive part of daily life. Later, I conceived of a Flash app that would randomly compose a tiled image from a list of photographs
The output shows a grid of rectangles, displaying every hue and shade of London's crisp blue winter skies. Clicking the app would produce a new composition and set of relationships to enjoy.
